IntelliSense is a feature that makes it easier for developers to locate the appropriate lines of code, while Code Completion is a feature that makes suggestions for code that the developer has not yet written. IntelliSense and Code Completion are two of the features that contribute to Visual Studio’s widespread use and popularity. Visual Studio offers a comprehensive collection of tools that are designed to assist developers in becoming more productive and effective in their work. It is utilized by developers in the process of creating a wide range of applications, such as desktop, mobile, and web applications. Microsoft’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE), known more commonly as Visual Studio, is a robust and widely used program. VBA and Visual Studio is the two frameworks that are utilized the most frequently in the modern era. Visual Basic 6 was the last version of VB. Since then, VB has been succeeded by Visual Basic.NET, Visual Basic for applications (VBA), and Visual Studio.NET. Visual Basic 6, the last version of VB, was released in 1998. It is a descendant of the BASIC programming language. The computer language VB is known for being event-driven and object-oriented. This GUI enables programmers to modify code by simply dragging and dropping objects, as well as defining the behavior and appearance of the objects they are working with. Microsoft’s Visual Basic (VB) is an event-driven programming language and environment that provides a graphical user interface (GUI). 50+ Visual Basic Project Ideas with Database.30+ Simple Visual Basic Project Ideas for Beginners. Longmont already threw a street festival downtown last weekend, but there’s more to come, including this weekend’s formal Firehouse receptions. Roth’s lowbrow trove of decorated hot-rods, toilet seats, T-shirts, skateboards and toys makes for hard-core visuals from Rat Fink culture, displayed alongside art by Keith Haring, Takashi Murakami and Andy Warhol, as well as such Colorado artists as Carlos Frésquez, Donald Fodness, Kevin Hennessy and Gregg Deal. To research the show, Lambson and a crew of students traveled in June to the Rat Fink Museum in Manti, Utah, for the annual Rat Fink Reunion, where they met with members of the Rat Fink inner circle, including Roth's widow, Trixie, and were allowed to select items for the exhibition right from the source. Some might say it was a bad influence, but Lambson shows its better side: In all its unruly nastiness, the Rat Fink gave permission to artists to incorporate lowbrow popular culture into works of fine art. But this fall, the Rat Fink character, invented in 1958 by hot-rod gearhead and comic artist Ed “Big Daddy” Roth in response to Disney’s clean-living Mickey Mouse, is installed in the chapel in multiples, along with works by a host of famous (and not-so-famous) pop, street and graffiti artists influenced by the rise of Roth’s iconic cartoon thug. Tar command is also used to extract the tar file. There are lots of option with tar command that can be use, but you just need to remember a few of them to quickly create tar file. Confirmation Before Adding Files Into Archive.Compress an Entire Directories or Single File.Having that security is something we all need. It’s always safer to make a backup of a file or directory before making changes, in case you need to revert to the original setup. As a system administrator, I created plenty of backups and recovered from some of them, too. Tar is useful in several different cases. If tar is not installed, you can do so depending on your operating system. It allows you to create the archive and manage it easily with the available tools in your terminal. Tar has a lot of things you can do with it. #zcat | grep Įgrep is a great one to use just for regular file types. This shows the content of the archive, then pipes that output to a grep. In this example, we use pipes and greps to locate content. v - Verbose output Use pipes and greps to locate content To test the tar file content's integrity: #gunzip -c | tar t > /dev/null To test the gzip file is not corrupt: #gunzip -t In this example, we check the integrity of an existing tar archive. How to check the integrity of a tar.gz backup We are making 200MB backups from the /dir folder. In this example, the dir/ is the directory that you want to split the backup content from. # tar cvf - /dir | split -bytes=200MB - backup.tar You can pipe the tar command into the split command. In this example, we split the existing backup into smaller archived files. f - Name the file How to split a backup into smaller backups This allows you to add additional files to the pre-existing backup backup.tar. In this example, we add onto a backup backup.tar. f - Name the archive How to append or add files to a backup This is helpful in situations where you are trying to locate something but do not want to specify the name or want to add in all options matching that particular search. Wildcards allow you to select files without having a specific search for keywords. In this example, we use the wildcard option on a backup backup.tar. z - compressed gzip archive file How to use the wildcard option In this example, we list the contents from a gzip backup without extracting it. z - compressed gzip archive file How to list contents of a tar(.gz) backup In this example, we extract content from a gzip backup, specifically a file called file.txt from the directory /backup/directory in the gzip file. # tar -exclude file.txt -exclude file.sh -cvzf How to extract content from a tar (.gz) backup In this example, we create a gzip backup called, but exclude the files named file.txt and file.sh by using the -exclude option. z - Compressed gzip archive file How to exclude files when creating a tar backup In this example, we create a gzip archive backup called of the directory /home/user. f - Name the archive How to create a tar.gz backup In this example, we create a backup called backup.tar of the directory /home/user. Also, the tarball is easily movable from one server to the next. This command is one of the most widely-used commands for this purpose. It compresses files and directories into an archive file, known as a tarball. Tar stands for tape archive and allows you to create backups using: tar, gzip, and bzip. The tar utility has a ton of options and available usage. It’s a common practice to complete and sometimes makes a difference in your finished work. In my personal experience, it has saved me more times than I can count. One of the key rules for working as a system administrator is always to make a backup. How well do you know Linux? Once your happy with your smile line, cure under the gel lamp for 180 seconds. You can correct mistakes using the end of an orange stick to make the line really smooth and perfectly formed. Carefully paint on the white gel only on the smile line like you are doing the white part on a French manicure. Once the clear base coat is cured, apply the second coat of gel using the white gel. (Curing Times vary to which brand of lamp you use and also which gel you use so you should always go with what the manufacturer recommends – or a bit of trial and error – you can over cure and under cure nails) It is best to buy a lamp with a timer so you don’t over cure the nail and end up with lumps or air bubbles. Once you have perfected the nail with the clear gel be careful not to smudge and place hands underneath the Gel Lamp and cure for 180 seconds. The trickiest part is around the cuticle area. Practise makes perfect with this –you are aiming to get no air bubbles when you have cured the nails and wanting to create a smooth even finish. At this stage if you have dropped some gel onto your skin or made a mistake you can wipe off with the gel wipe and start again. If you flood the cuticle area, this will just create a lift once the nail has cured. Carefully apply the Gel to the nail starting at the cuticle, you want to get as close as possible to the cuticle but leave a tiny gap in-between the cuticle and where you’re applying the gel. Start with the Clear gel, and apply a small amount onto the Gel Brush, wiping off the excess. It is important to look after them well as they can be expensive to buy and any contact with sunlight can cause your brushes and gel to become solid and damaged. I wrap my brush in tin foil when not in use – as it is important to store your UV Gel and brushes in a cool dark place and not to let your brushes or gel get in contact with direct sunlight or your Gel Lamp. You should wipe your Gel Brush using the Gel Wipe solution and a lint free wipe to remove any dust and to clean your brush. Your nails are now prepared for applying UV Gel onto them. After buffing you can then rough grit around the cuticle area using the nail file.īrush on some PH balanced nail dehydration solution onto each nail. Once the cuticles have been pushed back you can then buff the nail using the nail buffer to remove moisture in the nail and prepare it for the Gel to adhere to. If necessary you can cut away the excess cuticle you have pushed back with either cuticle nippers or a cuticle knife. Then take an orange stick and gently push back the cuticle. Take a cotton bud and apply a small amount of cuticle remover and wipe with a rolling action around the cuticle area of each nail. I always wipe the nails with nail varnish remover before starting as this acts as a good base to dry the nails out of any moisture. Remove any nail varnish using the non-acetone nail varnish remover with cotton wool pads. I like to place a place mat underneath the Gel Lamp just to protect my table. Lay out your towel, with couch roll over the top and get all your products and tools set out ready. I shall be uploading a blog on how to remove your UV Gel without damaging your natural nails. You can of course use acrylic but Gel looks the best as creates a smoother, thinner and shiny end result. I thought we would start with the easiest U.V Gel Nails to start with and these are U.V Gel Overlays on top of your natural nails which are like having permanent nail varnish applied to your nails that wont chip! I have created a French Manicure look here, but you can also use coloured gel (which i shall do another blog post about), nail art or simply clear over the top of your natural nails. UV Gel Nails can cost anything from £25-60 in salons so im going to show you how to do them much cheaper at home! I’m going to show you how to create your own UV Gel nails at home. I have been getting alot of requests on how to create UV Gel and Acrylic Nail extensions at home, so i thought i would do a series of blogs and step by step guides with photographs to help you create your own Nail extensions. Rabi in his brilliant 1937 theoretical paper entitled “Space Quantization in a Gyrating Magnetic Field” assumed for simplicity that the field was oscillatory in time even though the primary application was to a field varying with the position along the beam rather, oscillating with time. For both of these reasons, no sharp resonance effects could be expected. Furthermore, the change in field direction ordinarily went through only a portion of a full cycle. Since the atoms possessed a Maxwellian velocity distribution, the atomic velocities varied and the apparent frequencies of the changing field were different for different velocities. In all of the above experiments, however, the direction of the field varied in space, the only time variation arising as the atoms in the atomic beam passed through the region. Motz and Rose, Rabi, and Schwinger in 1937 calculated the transition probability for molecules that passed through a region in which the direction of the field varied rapidly. Rabi also pointed out that such nonadiabatic transitions could be used to identify the states and hence to determine the signs of the nuclear magnetic moments. Rabi showed that the results of Frisch and Segre were consistent with expectations if the effects of the nuclei were included. The transitions in such circumstances were quite different from those for which the effects of the nuclear spins could be neglected. Rabi pointed out that these discrepancies arose from the effects of the nuclear magnetic moments since some of the transitions were performed in such weak fields that strong or intermediate coupling between the nuclei and the electrons prevailed. However, some of the results of Frisch and Segre were not consistent with theoretical expectations. Transitions did not take place when the rate of change of the direction of H was small compared to the Larmor frequency. Which is the classical frequency of precession of a classical magnetized top with the same ratio γ 1 of magnetic moment to angular momentum. Frisch and Segre continued atomic beam experiments with adiabatic and nonadiabatic transitions of paramagnetic atoms and found, in agreement with Guttinger’s and Majorana’s theories, that transitions took place when the rate of change of the direction of the field was larger than or comparable to the Larmor frequency, Guttinger and Majorana developed further the theory of such experiments. Inspired by Darwin’s theoretical discussion, Phipps and Stern in 1931 performed the first experiments on paramagnetic atoms passing through weak magnetic fields whose directions varied rapidly in space. Physicist Sir Charles Darwin -the grandson of the great evolutionist-discussed theoretically the nonadiabatic transitions that make it possible for an atom’s angular momentum components along the direction of a magnetic field to be integral multiples of h/2 π both before and after the direction of the field is changed an arbitrary amount. The molecular beam magnetic resonance method arose from a succession of ideas, the earliest of which can be traced back to 1927, although that idea was rather remote from the principle of magnetic resonance. The early molecular beam experiments did not use oscillatory fields and were of limited accuracy. Rabi and his associates at Columbia in the 1930’s. The development of molecular beams as a valuable research technique was largely due to the work of Otto Stern and his collaborators in Hamburg in the 1920’s and early 1930’s, and to contributions from I. The earliest molecular beam experiment was that of Dunoyer 1 to show that Na atoms travel in straight lines in an evacuated tube. \ should be crypto-project + each level of directory folder. \ represents the upper level directory, and the path behind. The fights? There’s the opening act to-the-death wrestle in the middle of a New Year’s Eve fireworks rocket-launching pad, a mid-air melee on a military cargo jet, a throw-down on a Viennese tram and an oddly perfunctory punch-out with a Tamil assassin (Dhanush) that ends because the plot needs it to end and heck, they want this Netflix movie to play in India. And the globe-trotting “plot” is so embarrassing that “novelist” Mark Greaney should take his Netflix millions and flee the country. I mean, staging a couple of slaughter scenes to the 50 year old pop hit “Silver Bird” is a reminder than only James Gunn should have access to the action cinema cheese tray. Still, they got Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Evans’ “Knives Out” co-star Ana de Armas, Billy Bob and Alfre and a pretty good Indian action star, Dhanush (“Karan”) for it, so it can’t be all bad. It’s so hackneyed it’s like the Russos are trying to parody hackneyed, blowing their own punchlines as they do. Yes, some have been blinded by the Spandex, by all those comic book heroes playing together like Superfriends, by famous actors who all “stick the superhero landing.” Take those bomb-proof trappings away and the Russos can still stage an over-the-top action beat - a decent fight, a pretty-good digitally-augmented chase adhering to the laws of Bugs Bunny Physics.īut man, “The Gray Man” is one seriously stupid movie. Imagine staring, slack-jawed as the “Gray” credits roll, and realizing for the first time, “Wait, the Russos suck?” If “The Gray Man” does nothing else, Netflix’s latest blank-check action thriller is going rock the worlds of legions of Marvelettes, those fanatics who have been whining about the latest “Doctor Strange” and “Thor” on Twitter because, as one wag put it, the acclaimed directors behind them “didn’t make me cry” and “didn’t have the depth of story” of - you know - the Russo Brothers’ many Marvel outings. Once everything’s up and running, though, it works very well. Known as ‘Host Integration’, the specifics of this functionality vary from DAW to DAW, and involve some very brief faffing about in terms of initial setup in certain cases (we’re looking at you, Ableton Live). NI tells us there are no plans to switch the S-Series to the same one, though, as the Fatar is the ‘superior’ of the two.Īlongside Komplete Kontrol integration, the A-Series (and S-Series) keyboards also serve a secondary role as DAW controllers. Interestingly, the keybed is designed by NI itself rather than Fatar, which makes the S-Series beds for them, and is up there with the very best that we’ve come across in this price range. Also missing are the touchstrip and one of the two footpedal input jacks around the back, both of which are acceptable losses.ĭespite being made entirely of plastic, the A-Series shares the superlative build quality of its much more expensive siblings, from the confidently solid casing, and laterally immobile pitch and mod wheels, to the consistent knob resistance and nicely sprung semi-weighted keys. The screens have been substituted with a tiny OLED display for text-only visual feedback, but Light Guide is simply gone - although Smart Play itself still works, of course. There are, however, two major cuts: the dual colour LED screens (or alphanumeric LEDs on the S25, which still languishes at Mk1), and the unique per-key Light Guide LEDs, which mirror Kontakt’s coloured key assignments and work with Komplete Kontrol’s Smart Play features to highlight the notes of selected scales and chords. Numbers gameĪvailable in 25-, 49- and 61-key versions (we received the A25 for review), the A-Series borrows many of the S-Series’ best features, including the 4D Encoder (a joystick/rotary control/button combo) for software navigation eight touch-sensitive knobs for plugin parameter control beefy pitch and mod wheels and most of the same backlit buttons, albeit laid out slightly differently. So, to open up that end of the market, NI has come up with the A-Series - a much cheaper, cut-down, bus-powered USB 2.0 controller keyboard that interfaces with the exact same Komplete Kontrol software. As great as the S-Series is, however, with prices starting at £239 for the 25-key S25 and hitting £799 for the S88, it’s a bit of a reach for many novice producers. |
